Last year ERF re-homed a lovely chestnut mare called Mavis to a family in the Charente. There was always a possibility that she could be pregnant as she had lived in a field with a Spanish colt. The past week has been a busy one for us to say the least!
We were asked to inspect 2 separate welfare cases after concerns from members of the public. These horses are now under surveillance and we have commenced actions to get the situations rectified.

Yesterday saw the Arab stud dispersal auction at Le Roc, Dordogne take place. We can happily report that none of the horses were bought by the meat man and I am sure that many will already be in their new homes enjoying the life of luxury they deserve. The rain managed to leave most of us looking like drowned rats and also upset some of the the more fractious youngsters!
