Urgently Seeking Homes

Milly and Ellie are two beautiful older (17yo and 18yo) Arabian mares who are urgently seeking a new home due to a desperately sad change of circumstance.
Milly, the grey, has been with her owner all her life In her younger days she won at top level, showing in hand and under saddle, and was latterly a brood mare.
Ellie joined Milly a couple of years ago, having served her time as a broodmare in the past.
Both girls are very affectionate, trusting and easy to do. They can live out, but like the warmth of a stable in the worst of weather. They are in great shape, and will have all the neccessary rugs etc.
The owner is absolutely distraught at having to part with them. This is one of the hardest situations we have come across, and a very special home is needed for these lovely horses.
Please contact us if you can offer these ladies a retirement home!
hi oh this is heartbreaking that the owner cant keep them and is distraught. I dont know where they are but unfortunately I am in the very north of scotland – in the process of getting stables etc built and my landlady wants this to be a retirement/rescue place for horses – we have two huge fields surrounded by trees. I am in the process of relearning how to care for horses having two elderly mares here already. 17 and 19 as it happens. I didnt realise the extent of the cruelty of how some horses are treated going to markets etc – very upsetting.
