As we think of booking our holidays to far away places,  or maybe even a break away closer to home here in Europe, please spare a thought for the equine workers in the tourist trade and help to prevent their suffering.

The Brooke charity are urging holiday makers to be responsible tourists and follow the ‘Happy Holiday Horses code‘.

Obviously, in some countries animals are an essential source of income from the tourist trade, so if you follow the code of conduct and are vigilant, no animal or human need suffer.

If you see an animal being severely mistreated, consider making a formal complaint to your tour operator, tourist police or the local authorities…..don’t just turn away, use your voice as they don’t have one!
