Update

We have been extremely moved that so many of you have taken the time to get in touch and assure you all that we are continuing forward with ERF despite the short term issues facing us.
One e-mail in particular has reminded us of the impact that we can have on both equines and their owners and the family concerned have kindly allowed us to share it with you:
“I am Amanda and I have Hugo. I was fortunate enough not to be on the mailing list for the nasty e-mail, but feel non the less that I should contact you and let you know that I think you are doing a good job.
I have had Hugo now for just over a month. To see his personality change day by day, his confusion and wariness diminishes day by day. He wickers at us when we approach and loves to sleep in his stable whislt being groomed and hugged by us all. Every day I look at him and silently thank you for finding him and not giving up the fight to get him to safety. It is thanks to you he is here with us, he has brought joy and love to us all and a reason for not giving in to the bullys at school for my daughter. She comes home every day and tells him her problems, she spends hours grooming and loving him and as he gets fitter she is looking forward to riding him more.
This is purely down to your wonderful organisation and the dedicated caring people who run it. You are to be admired and assisted, not abused. “
Once again, thank you to every one of you who have helped to make this possible.
Having read the awful email today, I really hope that this nasty women (I could think of a far worse thing to call her) does not cause any damage to the fantastic work that Kathryn and the rest of the association do. I am a neighbour and friend and see on a regular basis all the hard work that the Dobson family do, and it is the whole family involved.
Kathryn is a hard working and very honest person who I not only have the pleasure of knowing but also working with. I am President of another fantastic association that Kathryn has set up, this being “Accents” which holds classes every week teaching English to our children (which is vital for them to be truly bilingual). We have great teachers and volunteers and all would agree with what I’m writing today. All the very personal stuff this women has written about Kathryn and how she runs ERF does not apply to Accents, so why would Kathryn run 2 associations differently ?
Associations are run as non profit making and that is exactly what they do, in our case the only people to benefit are our children and in ERF it is the horses. This woman that calls herself a horse lover should have thought long and hard about what she wrote. Luckily this small minded woman does not have the support she was obviously hoping for and not done too much damage, apart from hurting a wonderful family that are dedicating there time and own money into the fantastic works of ERF.
If the woman that wrote the e-mail is reading this, I hope you have read all the comments that people have written back in support of Kathryn and realise that what you have actually done is made people even more aware and determined to support and help ERF, for that i suppose we should thank-you. Now maybe we can all go back to living the relaxed and tranquil life that so many of us moved to France for.
Keep up the good work ERF .
